After reviewing your paperwork, the doctor will meet with you to discuss your related health problems and any treatment concerns you may have. A specialized exam will then be performed.

Radiographic Studies

As Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractors, we take upper cervical x-rays for all new patients. These x-rays are precise, low exposure radiographs and they will determine if our care will be of help for your health condition and also to rule out pathologies and adverse conditions of the spinal column. Your radiographs will then be measured to determine your exact correction angles and position.

Your Second Visit

Your second visit will occur after the doctor has reviewed your history, x-rays and examination results, and determined that you would be a good candidate for our chiropractic procedures.

You will then meet with the doctor to discuss your case and review your x-rays. If a joint decision is made to move forward with treatment, the doctor will then perform a gentle and exact correction. The doctor will check the results of the correction looking for leg length correction, decreased muscle spasm, increased range of motion, and/or improved posture. These findings will indicate the adjustment is correct and did as we intended.

A second set of radiographs will then be taken to verify the corrections and allow us to fine tune your adjustment to insure the highest quality of care.

Post Adjustment Care

An adjustment resets your bodies core balance, increases blood flow to your brain, starts a more normal movement of your spine, and relaxes your nervous system. Because of these internal corrections, after your treatment, it is advised that you walk for 5-10 minutes, but not push yourself for a period of 2 hours. The doctor will provide you with self care instructions and schedule a follow up visit 1-2 days after the first adjustment to determine if positive results were achieved from the initial adjustment.

Scheduled Appointment

As a rule, we see our patients less frequently than other Chiropractors. Providing the time your body needs to respond to the adjustment and correct itself.

Your appropriate and future care schedule will be determined in following visits.
